Okay, I'm confused. The back sear drops down. Here's the order: -Grab the rear edge of the back seat bottom (place where your butt goes) -Pull up and forward. Thus, it will arc forward and up, being hinged at the bottom -The top of the back seat back rest can now be pulled down and forward Note: The seat bottom should have a pull loop in the rear center of the seat as the seat is locked closed (well, in later models, I know). Pulling on this loop unlatches the lock and assists in pulling the seat up. Note: The seat back is locked. To unlock it there should be a leveäFÕ~ upper left side (mine has an arrow that points up on the head of it). Pushing this lever up unlocks both sides of the seat. Now it can be lowered. Confused? Hell, so am I and I grew up with mine! But it's all very easy if you've never done it, you just need to poke around and you'll figure it out...unless the pull loop has broken down inside the seat bottom (mine did) which means you'll have to remove the hinge pins and unlatch the seat bottom from the other end (yeay :( ) I recommend finding someone who knows the Type III and have them show you how to do it. Like I said above, I'm confused, so if I missed what's going on I'm sure many of you will be eager to correct me.
