Never saw the explaination of the source of the name 'suicide doors' that I've heard since a kid. Back in the Chicago style prohibition gangster days people who were in the 'wrong' gang were found to have 'committed suicide' by 'jumping' out of a moving vehicle at speed. Much easier to accomplish with doors hinged at the back, especially with a little 'assistance' and a bullet. Shannon, I have a little info for you, if you are still on this list.
