Hmmmm..
First off.. always put old socks on the ends of your bumpers to keep them
from scratching the fenders when you put them on.

I put NOS 67 bumpers on my 65 Notch and the front fit perfectly.  I was
however running a later front apron and front fenders.  The rear I did have
to grind down a litt—åH
t but at the time I blamed it on the fact that
the rear fenders may not have been fitting close enough to the rear apron. 
I had done alot of reconstruction back there.

I dont think the fenders or widths were different so you may be looking at
something else.
