   You know, I the whole time this "New Notchback" thing has been
   going on I have been very suspicious...

   I have had a few encounters with those who state they have just
   the NOS part you are looking for.  Or used, but in very near to
   NOS condition.  When you come down to getting the price, and 
   then cinching the deal (as in where do I send my money...) 
   they disappear, never to be heard from again.    
 
   A freind of mine who is into MG's has seen this same thing.

   In thinking about this, wouldn't you think that maybe a story
   THIS big (18 "new" Notches and Squares) would get quite a bit
   of publicity in the Auto press?  

   With the amount of members we have on this list, I think that
   at least ONE would have gone and seen these by now! 

   How did this thing originally start?  A E-mail to someone? An
   article/ad in a newpaper?  Word of mouth.....  

   I think this is just how some people get their kicks.... 

   I say they never existed! 

   BTW, I think this would be ažgme to note that I have dealt
   with several people on this list who have sold me parts and each
   and every one of them would get a five star rating as to speed 
   of delivery, honesty about the condition of the parts and ease 
   of doing business with. It's people like the subscibers to this
   list who make this hobby a joy!
