Jim says, If this were true, then all the OE carbed Type 3s out there would run poorly DOWNHILL!!??? I doubt if this is the case. ========================================= yes, but! this ONLY happens at idle, it(at least mine) runs great with even the smallest amount of throttle. Brian noted a drop in rpm when he raised the back of his car, but not near as bad as i got, and found other weirdness when he changed distributors. maybe I'll switch back to the vac/mech advance distributor that was on the engine when i got it. i know the 009 I'm running now is far from new. something must be going on, how would you explain a 50 rpm drop just from lifting the back of the car? and this is from a reliable(vader) source.
