	I have this from a discussion on the Vanagon list, I don't 2>Hxit
	applies to our old style cars. The "law" is from NHTSA (or
something) and
	the car manufacturers, car speedos have to be about 5-7% low @ 60
mph
	(100kmh), to give you a slight margin at the speed limits. So, if
you are
	doing 60 mph @ the speedo, you're really going 57. and, if your
going 100,
	you're doing 95. You can actually "adjust" it by installing tires
with
	bigger circumference, and in some countries (Norway, at least) a
tire
	cannot be bigger or smaller than 5%, measured at the circumference.
This is
	because of the speedo.
