Hi all, I need a new muffler for my '71 Fasty, and was hoping you could give me some advice. The muffler that's on there now is too big, so the back skirt is dented out to accomodate it.ûõ Š want to repaint the whole car once the body work is done, I want to also fix that piece, which means getting a muffler that fits. The headers currently merge into one outlet, to which the muffler is bolted. The hole is 1.5 inches diameter (uses BugPak 2518 gaskets). It looks like the headers are the right ones - matches the BugPak pictures. I would like to have the car as quiet as possible, so being a victim of advertising, I'm thinking "buy the Quiet Pack mufflers". Someone on the list mentioned that the GT exhaust is rather noisy, so I'm skippin' that one... thanks for the info! So what's the deal with the Glasspack? It's about the same price as the single quiet pack, but looks to be a bit smaller. Is it noisier than the quiet pack? And what's the difference between the single and the dual quiet pack, besides the obvious: the dual has 2 mufflers, 2 outlets, and costs roughly twice as much. Is it much quieter than the single? Is it worth the extra dough? Any advice? I would like a quiet car, and I'm not worried about losing some engine power by using a quiet muffler rather than a performance muffler. The whole car is pretty much stock 1600 FI Auto... except for that stupid muffler of course! Thanks!
