That's your date button. When you're out on a new date, you ask your car how hot (he/she) is. If it lights up, you're in business! Actually, it's a warning light for your dual circuit master cylinder. Should pressure fail in one circuit, the light is supposed to come on. The push to light feature is a way to test of the bulb is still working.
