Hi again, Ever since I put the battery charger on backwards, I've noticed that my '67 squareback has been experiencing intermittent sudden losses of all electrical power. All wiring seems intact, no red light glowing, no trouble cranking. The only difference I've noted is that the voltage regulator is pretty hot to the touch after driving for as little as 15 minutes. Electrical history: I switched out generators two days ago after I inadvertently yanked out the D+ screw and wire. The next day I left the dome light on all day, draining the battery. Then, when I charged it back up is when I hooked up the charger backwards. That's when the loss of power/hot regulator problem started. This morning, it occurred to me to polarize the generator (as per John Muir). Any ideas? The regulator was once again hot after 10 minutes' worth of driving this AM, bÚºss of power thus far. Thanks, Eduardo _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
