Pistons must be balanced.

This is why one must always use original VW valves and replace the valve
guides too at 60Kmi. you must check that you didnt bend the rod, probably
did or leave chucks of stuff in the crankcase.

Cofap is not what I would use again.  I have them, and at 65K i'm sucking
oil on deceleration on the highway, been doing it since 40K or so. Comp is
good but the oil rings suck.
