A little story - As a few of you may remember a while back I was asking questions about FI fuel pumps and how to tell if they are still working properly. It seems that my 69' Square (Dolly) was getting harder and harder to start each time that I tried. Well - I went through the many test and determined that perhaps the pump was bad (but I was not 100% sure). So I found a 2[ê (Jason) who was selling all his FI parts at a good price and got them, a whole BIG box full. After installing the new pump (with a full tank of gas - boy I smell great now!) the engine still would not completely turn over. So - for the heck of it I took the rotor off and replaced it using my new box of parts. Vvrroommm!!!! started right up! Arrrhhh...I feel so stupid. Yes perhaps it may have been a combination and yes it's good to have extra parts but geezz - I always gotta learn the hard way. ALWAYS keep a spare cap, rotor, and points with you! Learn from my stupidity! Peace - Wilson ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much? Digest! mailto:type3-d-request@vwtype3.org Subj=subscribe
