Have you got a dwell meter? Don't just replace points&con randomly, see
if they're working on spec. The points are adjustable, of course: do you
know how to do this? Do you know what your dwell angle and/or point gap
should be?
I'd advise you not to worry about carb jetting etc. until you're sure
of your dwell and timing -- probably not even then. Relax, this sounds
like an easy problem.
