So...

after posting flyers around the neighborhood offering a $200 reward for my
squareback, the next day two people called and one guy CAME TO MY DOOR to
claim the reward!  Thanks for the idea.  The car was dictched with only
minor dameage to the shift linkage (the guys must have really torqued it
to get it into reverse) my tool box gone, a parking ticket obtained the
day it was stolen, an empty Del Taco bag, chocolate donette gems, and an
empty cigarette box.  

Thanks for the flyer idea.  They weren't up for more than 12 hours!  

So I won't be selling any of my type 3 stuff after all, but I will be
needing a new set of locks.  (the coil wire has been removed as a theft
deterrent.)
