You might do better with the Haynes; the common Bentley (68 - 73) only deals with injection. There may be an earlier one, but I don't know. I have 24 pages of VW Type 3 Technical Manual on the 32PHN-1, but I can't justify øÕrit all, so I'll send you some of the labelled pics. The volume control screw (mixture) is on the front (front is front of car) of the part that bolts onto the header (manifold in UK). Idle adjust is on the left side, and simply adjusts where the throttle lever stops. Dave.
