We had one; 1964 1500S Variant (you call it a Squareback in the USA); 1500
twin carb, high compression and a bit of a prima donna, but went well.
Maybe yours is a later Square with a replacement tailgate?  Or an earlier
Squareback with a transplant (quite a bit to change over, I'd have
thought).
