Don't feel bad, Jim. My mother gave me the "so when are you getting a new VW" lecture after I told her I got promoted at work yesterday. Also, not always a good idea to give Dad (Cadillac-drivin' 'Merican) a ride in the squareback when the el cheapo exhaust header has cracked at the flange and sounds like a mack truck.
