Checked the fuse (8A), it was > good. You should not leave it connected like this. Turn on your key then go to the back and connect and disconnect that wire. You should hear a thunk from inside the AT each time you connect it. If you don't, then the kickdown solenoid has burned out from being permanently energized. If you do, then your shift points are probably pretty high; this may have been compensated by misadjusting the Vacuum Modulator, but this is not good. Even without the switch your AT should downshift, but the kickdown is an extra downshift, or a downshift that occurs at higher than normal RPMs. > Thanks Jim.
