Eric=> Do theseC¦ front ends never rust out (unlike the Type 1 & 2 => beams)? I'm wondering if this is something that should be saved, ... Yes, save it, or at least pass it on. Many of the parts are otherwise unavailable, and any stress part will eventually wear out. Good rubber parts are especially tough to find. Even if we have all we need, we have to think in terms of the following generations of enthusiasts, too. => Does anyone really have so much heat that they use the thermostat => system mixing in cool air with the hot? I'll tell you what, try disabling the thermo and closing off the cool intake. If the rest of your air system is in good shape, I'll lay four to one it'll melt your tennies if you get too close to the vent. Seriously, if you have problems getting heat in your T3, it's because the system is compromised somewhere -- loose connections, rotted hoses, missing parts, blocked ducts, something like that. The thermo is there because the system *works*, and if it isn't working, the thermo won't get in the way.
