They'd look like hell when you were done with all the bending...I don't
imagine the aluminum frame around the type 1 popouts would withstand much
bending and rebending before it fatigued to the point of failure. Another
guy mentioned that he used cal look quarter window rubber with the popout
window glass in his fasty, but what I'm wondering is whether or not he can
still "popout" the window. He would have had to remove most of the outer
lip that holds the window in place, except along the leading edge...even
then I don't see the cal look rubber having the structural rigidity to stay
in place when the window wasn't in there to spread it apart. I have a set
of popout window seals that I'm waiting to install (not perfect by any
means but they'll do) and they're considerably more rigid than a standard
window seal.
