I would have to agree with James on this one.

If the QE2 hit your bumper enough to move your road torpedo, that it would
normally turn the wheels. You'd be more distressed that your bumper now
resides indise your car than the little stress your tranny took from the
experience.

I have seen cases of VW MT's being DRAGGED with the tranny in Reverse and
the only ill effects were the new flat side of the tires.

Your bumper would show the effects before your tranny would even realize it
had been violated.


This is why my '63 T345 is off the road.
Same experience, and by a co-worker!
I finally found the foglights to replace the shattered ones.
