Well, my version of Bentley calls for 7 ft-lbs on the socket head
clamp screw, and .001-.005" axial play on the rotor, set with a dial
indicator.  The clamp itself isn't torqued at all.  

You should replace both bearings and seals, with that much play, you
might have brake pad problems, too.  Smelly grease is probably an
indicatƒºy¿mpeding failure.
