You need to add in the FI information from chapter 4, figure 10-2. J17 is item 15 on Fig. 10-2, that is the FI fuel pump relay, located on the firewall, just up and to the left of where the steering column passes through the firewall. > Problem 2. Sorry, I don't remember the colors, but factory wires have a nicely crimped connector on them that can't be duplicated. > I also found a connector under the dash hanging loose. Is this just three in-line splices fastened together? I don't remember any like that under the dash. > It looks like this (yea, ascii pics) > > black--OO--red > white--OO--blue > green--OO--(empty) > > The green one went through the firewall-through the trunk-through the bottom > front right corner of the trunk to somewhere I couldn't see, even looking > through the bottom. Not sure what you mean here. If you should have said "left" (left is left) then it might lead to the horn. > I have to turn the key several times to unlock the drivers side door. Just remove the large Phillips-head screw in the door jamb, push the handle 1/4" forward, and pull it out. You may see the problem then. If MAY be useful to pull off the right handle for comparison. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
