>>I'll just be moving along and suddenly the car dies. I try to restart it and nothing. I wiggle around some wires and it starts again. The last time this happened was some month ago. Tonight it happened again, twice. Both times it was at a light with the turn signals going. I experienced a similar phenomenon in my beloved Scirocco (I know, I know..) a few years back and it eluded me for ages exactly because it was intermittent. I finally traced it back to the fuse block, which I swapped out with a junkyard replacement. I cracked open the old one and lo, one of the solder joints in the main board into which the relays and fuse terminal plugged was crapped out. Most of the time it would arc sufficiently to run, but if the weather was just wrong or I bumped the fuse block with my foot, it was no good. About a month later the junkyard beast did the same thing. This time I repaired the joint and all was well.
