If a generator - alternator conversion were considered which alternator would one go with ? a T1 ? a T2 ? Thing is I'm considering using my spare generator to build onto a supercharger , CRAZY or what ? It may demand some tin modification and a double pulley as well as a double rear bearing for the generator to take up the extra stress . Nothing to fancy my aim is 7psi @ 14000rpm @ 150cfm. Any suggestions ? misgivings ? look out fors? _______ /____-____\ < O o \ / o O > \____| |____/ Herman KG T34 '69 Israel - Is real -----Original Message----- From: Jim Adney <jadney@vwtype3.org> To: type3@vwtype3.org <type3@vwtype3.org> Date: 18 1999 04:17 Subject: Re: [T3] Heat On 17 Dec 99, at 15:47, Dave Buckholts wrote: The TOTAL power available from the generator is less than half that from a good hair dryer. If you think that it would be really cool to spend big bucks on a big alternator conversion you MIGHT get to a full hair dryer. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
