Well, my 69' FI fastback let me down for the 1st time in 7yrs. I was on my
way to church service this Sunday, as I was getting on the highway the car
shut off on me. I tried to start again I didn't hear the fuel pump make the
usual sound. I got out looked at my fuel pump noticed two wires were exposed.
I taped them up with electrical tape. I also noticed on my fuse panel, that
the second fuse from the left was burnt. I replaced it,the car started fine.
Hurray!! Well last night I was on my way home after work.I turned my
headlights on and the same fuse burned out again. Only this time the fuel pump
didn't go out. So I've been looking at the wiring diagram on
home.clara.net/hallvw/wire66us.htm , according to the wiring diagram that fuse
controls my tail lights. Have any of you ever had a similar situation? Is
the wiring diagram I'm looking at the right one? Is there a different diagram
for a fuel injection car? I noticed the diagram didn't show any wiring for a
fuel injection system, that is why I'm asking. Feedback would be very much
appreciated.

Rick 69' fastback FI
