I suspect that one of these supplies the injectors and one supplies the electronics. I had a car once where everything seemed to work except that the injectors wouldn't fire. I eventually found that 1 of those wires was broken. > I have heard of occasions when using other heavy current consumers such as > a rear de-fogger can upset the injection system, but I don't know if this > was due to a fault. Low voltage, or a noisy supply line, will both cause problems. Either could be caused by a big current consumer together with a bad connection somewhere. This is why the OEM FI is wired with a special wire directly to the battery + post. This won't help problems on the ground side of the battery, but at least those should be easy to spot and fix. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web!
