Should have been "tandem." It refers to a MC which has a separate
piston in the same bore that separates front and rear circuits. This
allows for one circuit to work even if the other has had a complete
loss of fluid
All VWs came with tandem MCs in 67 andb'ĸ
The earlier system is called "single circuit" or "simplex."
