>From Chris: >Bled the Rear brakes got 1/2 a firm pedal, Bled the fronts got fluid thru >(very Black) but can not seem to get a full firm pedal? Did you get air bubbles in the fluid you used in your receiving container when you bled the brakes? That seems to me to be more important than having dark fluid coming out. A spongy brake pedal might mean that you still have air in the lines. Did you bleed all four brakes, startingŰjŘťe one fartherest away from your fluid reservoir? Did you open the bleed valve, have someone push the brake pedal to the floor and hold it, then close the bleed valve before the pedal is released? If you did this, you should have seen some air bubbles appear in the container of brake fluid into which you ran the bleeder hose. Did you repeat this procedure until no more bubbles could be seen? It might well be that you did not discharge all the air from your hydraulic lines. Hope so, because simple solutions are always better than complicated (and expensive) ones. I bled my brakes last weekend and found it to be a tad tricky to make sure I got all the air out of the system. Phil (Any fool could do this...I just did!)
