For 12v try All Electronics Corp. Use this URL to go to their on line catalog (in Adobe Acrobat format) scroll to page 34 and see the SPDT 30 amp relay Cat # RLY 351 @ 2.40 ea. http://www.allcorp.com/graphics/pdf/rly299.pdf You can try your FLAPS and ask for a Karmann Ghia horn relay. I don't know what the solenoid draws, but the horn relay is rated at 30 amps. This kind of relay comes in aftermarket horn kits, and is readily available from many manufacturers for 12 volts. You will have to look a little harder for a 6 volt relay. I wouldn't recommend the aftermarket Ford starter relays that are sold for this purpose - you are just inserting another large solenoid in the circuit (although it would n*YÐÕ to drive the Bendix gear into place).
