I'm replacing the rusted-out brake master cylinder on my '70 Fastback with a new one. But the replacement unit I got from the store looks a little different from the original. The replacement is German-made ATE brand, part no. 311 611 015J. My original MC has j7Duhole on the right-front side--the hole for the RF brake line. Well, my replacement MC has TWO holes on the RF side. The second hole is just below the hole for the RF wheel line and kind of points down at about a 45-deg. angle. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Did I get the wrong part? Is this extra hole for some feature of later Type 3s? Can I just plug the extra hole with something? If so, with what?
