The main problem will be finding someone who will do competent work on it. If you are willing to be that person and have the mechanical aptitude for it then GREAT, but otherwise it can be very frustrating. I have a friend who oċwj me that he figured that whatever he spent on a car, he would have to spend on repairs to get it up to the condition that he THOUGHT it was in when he bought it. I thought that was overly pessimistic, but I've come to realize that he was more right than I realized. So don't spend all your money up front. Good luck, and welcome to the club.
