>From personal experience, it sounds dead-on like an FI connector having either jiggled loose, or having a broken connection. First thing I'd do is *very* carefully inspect all the FI leads, and make sure they're intact. Then I'd make sure they were clean and making good contact. I'll wager lunch that'll fix your immediate 'stuttering' problem. -----Original Message----- From: Grant Voigt [SMTP:gcv@kreative.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 06, 1999 10:31 AM To: Type3 List Subject: [T3] engine help ok guys since I bought my car I new that it was running ruff, but it may be dying. Last night I got in and started driving and it didn't seem to have the power and "stuttered", misfiring, hesitating, that is the best way to describe it. Well the same thing happened last week and it was a loose spark, sooo I tried to adjust the wire, this is at the spark plug end. It just did the same thing, so I got a new set of plugs and it does the same thing, any ideas would help, I am trying to have the engine last atleast 3 more weeks, then I will have the loot for the rebuild, Thanks gcv@kreative.net http://www.kreative.net/mimbly/grant 69 Fastback FI ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
