Re: [T3] J-Tubes

If you have headers, which seems likely, you get to cobble up some
sort of connections from the fan housing to the heater boxes if you
don't want cold feet this winter. Mine had a couple of pieces of
cloth-walled spiral hose, like dryer-vent hose, when I got it. No
clamps, just waved in the breeze. I replaced them with some bent
steel tubing pieces with some home-made ends that went into the
original duct-work elbows off the fan housing and down into the heater
boxes with some substantial clamps on the ends. This sacrifices
whatever heat those #2-4 heat exchangers picked up, but still allows
an adequate air flow throught the heater boxes. Retaining and
repairing the original exhaust wasn't an option, I've never had one
and never seen an intact one on a wreck. Headers are much easier to
get off and on anyway.
