Okay, now it's my turn to be confused.  I'm not familiar with the RHD 
layout.  So from what you say, I gather that your MC is on the RHS.  
So where does the F to R brake line run? [Which side of the hump?]

If the MC is on the right and the line is on the left, but the 
wetness is on the right, then your MC is leaking out its rear opening 
and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.  I believe Dave mentioned 
checking to see if there is wetness on the bottom of the MC boot.  
He's right, that would be the key piece of info.

Also, if your line is on the left, then it is not a vulnerable as 
ours since your snow covered shoes don't keep it wet every time you 
drive in the winter.  Of course your airbox drains could be plugged 
thus allowing rain to get in and to that job for you.
