Thanks for your words Aaron. It is funny living in a place where you have to qualify the quality of so many things you do in the interest of self-preservation. It's either that or be rich enough to have a garage (which in itself is no guarantee) or become a gun-toting freak and then, well, you've just become one of them. I do like living in this city though, weirdly despite all ofthese concerns, and unfortunately Brian's episode proves that living out of the cities is no insurance against safety. I've found I have to get kind of budhhist about my stuff - you know: dont get obsessed with material things, etc. But you cant help letting it get to you every now and then. To me its just important to keep this thing alive and ticking and at least marginally well-preserved. Good things happen, though. Not too long ago, every car on my block had thier windshield smashed in, except for mine. Some credit it to some punks sympathy for the beauty of the thing, but my guess is an auto glass place (there's alot here, near where I live) got someone to do it and they wouldn't have been able to cash in on my old car's windshield. Makes you think twice about who sends people out to throw balloons of paint thinner, if you live here. -Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
