Ya know, it's really pretty scary these days having anything worth putting your time and effort and money into. There always seems to be someone out there just waiting for an opportunity to destroy the fruits of someone else's labor & love. Ever see the movie "7"? In it, I believe the last line in the movie is something like "Someone once said 'This world is a fine place, and worth fighting for.' I agree with the latter..." Sure seems like there's always some reason to hold back from really commiting yourself to a paint job or overall job that you would really like to do in your heart. Mike in NY holds back 'cause he's worried about someone either stealing or stripping his car, and justifiably so. But it's incredible that we live in a place where we have to actually consider doing a second-rate job to our car just because we are worried that someone will defile it. No, Mike's not wrong for holding back -- on the contrary, he's making a sound decision, but doesn't it just SUCK that he has to be forced to make that decision for the reasons he's made it?? Man, sorry about the whole soap-box thing, but it really gripes me that there's always some piece of trash out there who can't let someone enjoy the result of their hard labor and care. I've had my '66 Bug stolen (when I owned it), my '69 Square almost broken into a couple of times (I stopped the attempts by scaring off the offender [:( and more recently, I had a storage unit I've been keeping a few personal items (books, computer, dishes, etc...) in burglarized -- by an employee of the facility. Computer's safe (was in a non-descript box) but monitor's missing & other boxes (of random books, I think). It's really quite depressing how much effort someone will go to not to have to do the work for themselves, eh? Well, sorry to hear about the :( news Brian & Shannon, and good luck repairing the damage done (I hope you filed a police report just for the record). Later! Aaron >:) > VWT3 '69س auto f.i.
