Ramblings from 6 inches below VW level. First, before anything else, I must aplaud anyone who wants to lower their car.(I think I'm slipping comletely into chromie land) If done correctly on a T3 it is completely enjoyable. Here are a couple tips. Use BOGE shocks on the fronts; Kick Your Butts are to stiff!!!!! Second, if a square, KYBs are okay on the rear, but Boge again are easier on the butt. Third, tire size makes a difference. I currently am stuck w/ a pair of 135s on the front so I feel alittle more of the road than 165s, but this low means 135s. Other than the small tires, the car is not at all jaring and RR tracks are not a problem(usually don't even slow down for them). Finally, after lowering, a 4 wheel alignment is a must! I am taking my digital camera to see Toby and hope to have some bug riddled pics on my sight http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Track/8328/index.html by tomorrow.(we are meeting at dusk) The sight also has a link to some pics from the Volksfest 98. One last thing...I love my carbs. I'm not trying to start a flame:@), I'm just stating that I never have to dink around w/ them.
