Okay, maybe I just really don't get it. I can understand people having different aesthetic values. Some people dig the lowered shaved barco-lounger interior with that airbrushed medeival warrior on the trunk. Unicorn optional. Some poeple dig that look. No prob. But what I dont get are the people that remove whole quadrents of functionality to acheive a look. I guess I'm just whining because I got to play around inside the new sqaure yesterday for a time. Its shaved, which basically means I have lots and lots of poorly applied bondo chuncking off, and there is a fair amount of choices I find abhorant but can say "too each their own" (blue tinted afetrmarket honda looking mirrors, blue vinyl headliner, metallic green 'visor strip', racing strpe painted on the dashboard with spraypaint, panels covered with faded woodgrain contact paper) But what I don't get is the other things- the one peice windows that rattle and do away with the vent windows (i.e. VW air conditioning). The way they bondo's over the vent holes up front so I have no hope of defrosting anything. Lowering is a look, but past a point it just makes for some bumpy rides.... Maybe I'm just complaining about the PO, but at least Zoofye's roadster (my sympathies, by the way), custom as it is, is still a marvelously functional car. Mine, well...... whine, whine, whine... -rj ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
