When I built the engine for my '68 Bug ('74 dual relief case) I had over 40
psi and sometimes 60 psi when it was cold, and no the relief valves weren't
sticking. I bored those out before I put the motor together. All the motor had
was the stock oil cooler which had been cleaned out and leak checked.
