Scott made the following statement: > It is unknown if the car is FI or carb. Owner didn't know... To us it may sound strange that the owner doesn't know, but it happened to me some years ago. I called in response to a rather vaguely worded newspaper ad. The gentleman I spoke with was 82 years old and couldn't tell me if we were talking about a T1, 2, 3 or what. From what he said, I guessed that what he had was a Squareback, so I asked him if it was carbureted or FI'ed. He said it definitely had a carburetor, but it was really odd looking one. He said that at least a couple of times a year for the past six or seven years he had gone out and tried to adjust the carburetor so he could start the car, but he was never able to figure out how to adjust that danged funny looking' carb. Well, you are ahead of me by now...yes, it was fuel injected! I pried the SqBk up out of the ground into which it had sunk over the years, towed it home, and the rest, as they say, is history. It is the same wonderful Squareback that I drive to this day (now truly carbureted). So, sometimes the civilians out there in the world just don't know.
