Morning all, Had a great Three Weekend. Got my new black faced '72 tacho wired (thanks to Aaron Britcher this list. Aaron it looks great and runs excellent!) Also got the original centre console in without too many problems. Radio still lacking due to no available bracket to hold in to position to my satisfaction, but all the wiring and hardware there is finished. Clock moved to the console and lights up really nicely. It's different seeing lights down there. Usually only reserved for my daily driver (which is non VW by the way). Master brake cylinder installed and after some problems managed to bleed the system. I'd read in one of my manuals that on the late brake systems you bleed the longest one last and the shortest one first. I did this on my '73 Square without any problems. On the '72 Notch, I thought, same thing. No sir! Ended up bleeding the longest one first and the shortest one last. Things you learn. Installed the heater cables. That nearly became a nightmare but they are connected up now. All that is left to do is the carpet, the battery tray (inside), install the pipes from the heat exchangers to the body. and she'll be on the road. Hope everyone else had a good weekend.. P.S. Steve if your reading this, how are we going with your parts wagon? Haven't heard from you in a while.
