On the late cars with 2 piece drum and hubs, there is an easy way to 
do this.  Remove the two small bolts that secure the drum to the hub 
(may require heat) and then heat the face of the drum just outside 
the hub.  In about 2 minutes the drum will simply pop loose, and the 
parts will not be damaged.

The first things to check are the shocks and the tire pressures.  I 
use 20psi front/30psi rear for an ouloaded car, 20/36 for full load.
