If things work the same with new cars as they do with old ones, that noise you
hear is what's referred to as "engine noise" in the car stereo circles.  I
think there's a few things that casue this.  One is a bad ground, check it
out.  The other happens if you're running an amplifier and are using RCA patch
cables.  If you run your RCA cables and the power wire together (or is it the
ground wire?) they will cause this noise.  What we used to do back in high
school was run power to one side, ground to the other and then RCA cables down
the middle.  basically just make sure these wires arent all caught up in each
other.
