Hey all, After riding my high of fixing the front suspension, I decided to replace the front-to-back brake line that the PO installed UNDER the floorpans (i.e., dangling underneath the car). I needed to install this properly before taking the car for its technical inspection. I installed the new brakeline that I ordered from MOFOCO a few years back (even though it was a few years back, I distinctly remember ordering one for the T3). Well, this one was about 6 or 8 inches too short. Good thing that I didn't remove the old line before slipping this one through the fire wall and along the tunnel. Gotta pull it out and replace it with a longer one. This leads to two questions: What is the proper length (in/cm) of the front to back brake line? What is the proper size of the male threaded ends that screw into the MC? This is a '65 Variant. The ends on the new brakeline look like they have a larger thread than what the MC and brake couplings on the car will accept. Take care, John Kowalski Zagreb, Croatia '65 Variant '72 Cabrio (Franjo) ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
