The mark on the dist is just approximate. That will get you started on cylinder 1, which will be followed by 4,3,2 in the firing order. What you should really go by is the TDC mark on the pulley for cylinders 1 & 3 and the similar casting shape that is 180 deg away on the pulley for 2 & 4.
