This all comes as a total surprise to me. I have not been watching ANY of this. In fact I'm pretty astonished to hear that there are people here who have enough time to watch more than 1 list, and I would bet that the type 2 list is busier than this one. Anyway, I believe I had an exchange with Bob last year that was totally civil and it was the only exchange we have ever had. I was impressed with the fact that he seemed willing to give credence to my ideas even though I could not back them up with VW factory training or long dealer service. I just went by logic and the various manuals that I had. He presented some counterexamples from his experience. I was pleased that he took the time to write me.
