This is a contest to find out who knows the most about synchronizing and setting proper idle mixture on dual WEBER ICT 34s. The winner will receive my undying respect (woopee) and wide publicity as the PERSON WHO KNOWS THESE CARBURETORS (woopee). Not to mention it'll then be on the archive for good and no one will have to ask this again. Bonus points to answer this question: Why does Weber say to disconnect BOTH carbs from the linkage, when all other dual carb systems only have you disconnect one or the other? ALSO NOTE: I HAVE STOCK LINKAGES, not the hex bar type. As far as I can see, Weber's instructions are vague and therefore virtually useless to me, because I haven't got a clue how these carbs REALLY work and how they REALLY should run. Now come on people; there's a rare and unfortunate breed of us out there who are stuck with these things because we don't know any better and to a certain degree we don't WANT to know any better. We have to stick together and help each other out. And All you FI types who know can help too; you may be stooping to us what with with the better FI performance, etc., but remember this aint a Porsche Club here. We're supposed to be rooting for the little guy, right? And someday, when we all get our carbs striaghtened out, we can all hunt the mysterious kingpins at Weber down and teach them how to write a proper set of guides. So let's get this S**T straightened out.
