Wait a minute, let me get this straight. Awhile ago my ducts for the heat exchangers crisped out and my mechanic didnt have the right ducts. Since spring was coming on and I didn't need the heat anyway, he plugged off the pipes that would have led to the ducts with a couple of coke cans clamped on. He said tht it would be better anyway until I could get my heater arms to close off the air flowing to the front of the car, otherwise there would be a lack of air to cool the engine during the hot months. Now there's no air going to the heat exchangers at all to melt anything on them. Nevertheless, is this good (enough) policy until I get my heater exchange boxes sandblasted and re-painted?
