> I've had the Pertronix in my baby for four years without one single > problem. My experience was about the same, Toby. The Pertronix was in there for several years without a hint of a problem. Guess that is why I was so slow to suspect it when I was having all my troubles. I am still puzzled about this whole situation. After 10 miles of highway driving, the car would die and not restart while hot or even cold after sitting all day long. My white Square being towed home became a familiar sight this past two weeks. Not that it matters (since the car is running now), but if someone can explain what was going on that caused the car to miss, die and not restart, I would be curious to know. Fortunately, it is exactly 10 miles from my house to the restaurant where I have my morning coffe, so I never missed a cup. The last trip with the problem, I exactly made it to the parking lot before the car died...and I coasted into the parking space. There's no problem that can't wait until the morning coffee-and-paper is over! Thanx again for your help.
