RE: [T3] Turn Signal Prob

I had lots of signal problems with my '68 T1 (a teenager had owned it, but I
saved it, even to the point of welding new front and rear clips on, yay).
Not knowing to what extent you're getting lights, make sure that all of your
bulb sockets are getting proper connections, ground (if you're in a salt
area like I used to be, I used a dallop of white lithium grease on the
bottom of each bulb to help keep a good connection). Ensure the directional
switch is good, and the connectors at the base of the steering wheel
(there's semi-circular plugs/sockets at the base of the steering wheel for
horn/signals). Unless a wire has worn off its' casing near the body, or a
body panel has shifted; that should take care of the problem.

	Subject:	[T3] Turn Signal Prob

Hi, Everyone!!! My Time stricken world had lead me to post this
message
because i have 30 minutes of free time! YEY! (Sorry im loosing it) I
been
working on this 05/73 Squareback non stop figuring everything out.
How im
down to the turn signals. I cant get them to work. The fuse(#8 on
fuse
panel) is good. The wiring seems to function. The hazards work i
think
but the switch on the column wont work.

So i just want to know either what color wire is the main
hot(Positive)
wire that goes into the steering column. so when you click it on one
way
theres power going thru you all know where im getting.

So i can try to see if the turn signal switch on the stearing works.
and
if not then wire them up with a DPDT switch or something. Im getting
tired of working on Type 3's for a while. I need to do some driving.
Then
i will feel like doing some more working. so i believe that this is
my
last problem other than my oil light.

What color wire in the engine compartment goes to the oil sensor. I
have
3 or 4 wires there not connected thats for something.

	Thanx Ya'll
